On 10th of December 2015 the prelude was over. At 10:00 h, as planned, Hans and Nancy (including Dobermann Juno) came to the agreed meeting point at Motril beach – both have more than 10 years of travel experience with their MAN expedition truck and have set up their company “Expedition for Trucks” specialized in organizing truck expeditions and truck driving training. We had arranged with them a two-week “driving training” through Southern Morocco. After discussing the route we went on the ferry from Motril Spanish enclave Melilla on the African continent in the afternoon. After the very chaotic border crossing from Melilla to Nador the next morning, we drove quickly along the Algerian border to the dunes of South Morocco, bordering the Sahara.
