My parents got to know each other in West Africa and married there in the 1960s, the first four years of my life I grew up in Tanzania / East Africa before my parents decided to relocate back to Germany near Cologne.
After my studies, I moved to Munich and started my career in Management Consulting, Private Equity and Executive Search. I traveled regularly to distant countries and especially to Africa, despite high professional activity. At some point, I realized: I wanted to travel with more leisure and without permanently looking at business emails and jumping into important telephone conferences during the holidays.
With Karin I not only met my dream wife but also the perfect travel partner.
